ANSA McAL Chemicals Ltd. is seeking a safety-conscious, results-oriented Operator I – Packaging to operate packaging plant equipment safely and efficiently, meet production targets, uphold quality, and support continuous improvement.

The role collaborates with maintenance, quality, and logistics teams, completes accurate production records and shift handovers, and maintains a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) CXC/O'Level subjects including Mathematics and English.
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or operations preferred.
  • Forklift driver’s licence is an asset.

Responsabilités

  • Operate and monitor packaging equipment per SOPs to meet targets, quality, and safety.
  • Perform efficient changeovers to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain tooling, change parts, and equipment spares with proper reporting.
  • Identify equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance for troubleshooting.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and support production objectives.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics teams.
  • Contribute ideas to improve safety, efficiency, reliability, and plant performance.
  • Complete production records, shift reports, and handovers for continuity.
  • Uphold safety, quality, environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance.

ANSA McAL Chemicals Ltd. is seeking a safety-conscious, results-oriented professional to join our Operations team as an Operator I – Packaging.

This role is responsible for operating packaging plant equipment in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner while maintaining quality standards, maximizing production output, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor assigned packaging equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved.
  • Perform equipment changeovers efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain uninterrupted production operations.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability by ensuring tooling, change parts, and equipment spares are properly monitored, maintained, and reported.
  • Identify equipment issues and collaborate with supervisors and maintenance personnel to support timely troubleshooting and corrective action.
  • Adapt quickly to changing operational priorities and support the achievement of production objectives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics to achieve shared business goals and foster a positive team environment.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations that improve safety, efficiency, reliability, and overall plant performance.
  • Complete accurate production records, shift reports, and handovers to ensure effective communication and operational continuity between shifts.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance in all aspects of work.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Three (3) CXC/O'Level subjects, including Mathematics and English.
  • Minimum one (1) year of relevant manufacturing, production, or operations experience.
  • A valid Forklift Driver's Licence will be considered an asset.
