GAPSFS is headquartered in Ithaca, Michigan, with branches in Middleton and Fowler. GAPS FS employs approximately 40 individuals (including seasonal workers) and serves around 450 customers. GAPS FS offers services in agronomy, agri-finance, and nutrient management. PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to operate a front-end loader to scoop and lift products for processing.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Operate a front-end loader (John Deere 244J) in confined spaces.
2. Load products into processing areas, blenders, and trucks.
3. Maintain operations at the retail supply location.
4. Follow maintenance schedules for facilities and equipment.
5. Manage inventory and distribution of products.
6. Drive and deliver miscellaneous products as requested.
7. Stock and move warehouse products and materials.
8. Assist full-time and part-time operations personnel.
9. Maintain the facility and equipment appearance.
10. Contribute to efficiency improvements and cost reductions to meet goals.
11. Provide excellent customer service.
12. Collaborate with the location manager on safety and compliance issues.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Adhere to GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies.
2. Drive and run local errands as needed.
3. Perform any other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

1. High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ years of retail-related experience demonstrating inventory management and mechanical knowledge.
2. Essential skills include business knowledge, teamwork, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development.
3. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
4. Frequently lift 51-70 lbs.
5. Work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.) frequently.
6. Potential exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with safety precautions.
7. Willingness to work hours outside the normal schedule to meet seasonal demands.
8. Participate in required training related to policies, procedures, and position-specific requirements.
