Position Summary

The Forklift Operator reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is based out of our Seabrook, New Jersey location. This individual will be responsible for loading and unloading finished goods, raw materials, and ingredients from trailers with the use of a forklift, utilizing our inventory control system (QAD/RF scanning) to capture all movement.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions of the Job)

• Load and unload finished goods
• Load trucks using BOL and FIFO method, and complete the load
• Tag and properly store finished products from production lines safely and efficiently
• Communicate shortages to the Warehouse Supervisor
• Use RF scanners and QAD for inventory movements and tag edits
• Ensure product rotation, shipping out the oldest product first, using pick sheets to assist and report discrepancies
• Maintain product quality, including correct tagging, rotation, and damage prevention; handle damaged products per procedures

Education and Experience

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• One (1) year of forklift experience in a manufacturing environment
• High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the food/beverage industry
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail-oriented with multitasking ability
• Good time management and ability to work independently
• Credibility, integrity, and relationship-building skills

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

This position requires physical ability to work in a production setting, including standing, walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating machinery. Exposure to wet, humid, and seasonal temperature variations. Occasional squatting, kneeling, reaching, and wearing protective gear. Ability to detect obstacles visually and hear in a noisy environment.
