Job Description

Department: Manufacturing/Warehouse

Location: Louisville, KY

Reports to: WHS/Supervisor / Plant manager

Purpose

Drive gasoline or electric-powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices such as forklifts, clamps, or elevating platforms to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders or stock requisitions to determine materials to be moved.
• Complete stock requisitions and production tickets with amounts and locations of materials.
• Verify incoming and outgoing materials against paperwork for correct items, counts, and check for damage.
• Operate forklift by moving levers and pedals to control movement and lifting.
• Position forks or lifting devices under, over, or around loads to transport materials.
• Unload and stack materials, inventory materials, and supply workers as needed.
• Weigh materials and record weights on tags or labels.
• Load/unload materials onto/from pallets or skids and verify against shipping documents.
• Store materials in warehouse after QA approval and maintain inventory records.
• Maintain forklift (check fluids, lights, fuel, charge).
• Report safety issues, maintain cleanliness, and adhere to policies.
• Work overtime as required and maintain reliable attendance.
• Interact professionally with co-workers.

Physical Demands

Stand, walk, handle items, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch regularly. Lift/move up to 75 pounds frequently.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to fumes, chemicals, weather, and moderate noise. Accommodations available for disabilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with good reading, writing, and math skills.
• Pass in-house forklift training course.
• Six months related experience preferred.
