SA Recycling, a leader in metals recycling and processing, seeks an experienced Forklift Operator responsible for safe and efficient operation of forklifts or skid steers to move, load, unload scrap metal, perform yard cleanup, and handle general labor duties. The role involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions, adhering to all safety standards.

Working hours are from 7:45 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities of an Equipment Operator:

• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, assisting with unloading and sorting, educating customers on acceptable materials, and thanking them.
• Maintain a safe environment for all.
• Guide customers, suppliers, and truck drivers during loading/unloading.
• Operate machinery safely, including forklifts, skid steers, and balers.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues.
• Document and verify shipment details.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in yard and customer areas.
• Follow all safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of forklift operation in an industrial setting.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Willingness to learn new tasks.

Note: Employment is contingent upon passing a drug screen, physical, background, and credit check (if applicable). Applicants must be 18 or older.
