Job Summary

The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy mobile equipment, including but not limited to front end loaders, backhoe loaders, skid steer loaders, and haul trucks.

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform daily or pre-shift inspections on vehicles and operate them safely.
2. Operate all mobile and heavy-duty equipment on site (dozers, loaders, haul trucks, etc.).
3. Maintain cleanliness and safety of tools, equipment, and work areas.
4. Comply with safety rules and regulations.
5. Perform related duties such as maintenance, repair, and yard loading as needed.
6. Understand, interpret, and execute instructions in both verbal and written form.
7. Schedule or request repairs and parts.
8. Recognize hazardous situations and adhere to OSHA and company safety standards.
9. Wear proper safety equipment at all times.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English; bilingual skills are a plus.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and outdoor environments.
• Must handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Wear protective gear as required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to perform physical tasks including walking, sitting, lifting up to 100 pounds, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
• Communicate effectively and operate heavy machinery safely.
