Job summary

Workwear Outfitters in Nashville, Tennessee, is seeking a dedicated garment assembler focused on sewing and embroidery operations on 2nd shift (2:30 PM–11:00 PM). You will check in garments, load designs, hoop and prep items, and operate machines with attention to quality and efficiency.

The role requires basic English, ability to stand all shift, lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work overtime including weekends.

Qualifications

• Sewing/embroidery experience preferred but not required.
• Basic English reading, speaking and math skills.
• Stand/walk up to 100% of shift; lift up to 50 pounds.
• High attention to detail and quality; able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Check in garments when they arrive.
• Load design onto the machine via computer.
• Hoop garment and prep for the next run.
• Operate machines and trim the backing.
• Learn to adjust tensions for better sewing quality.
• Fix errors on items as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork; overtime may be required.

Requirements:

• Sewing / embroidery experience is helpful but not required.
• Basic communication skills to include reading, speaking, and understanding English and basic math skills.
• The physical ability to stand and walk up to 100% of the work shift.
• The physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Specific vision abilities required of the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• This position requires a high attention to detail and quality.
• This position requires demonstrated flexibility and the ability to work with others in a positive manner.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Must follow directions well.
• Ability to work overtime – including work on weekends, when needed.
• Good attendance is a must.

Hours:

2nd shift hours: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday. OT may be required daily and on Saturday.
