Job summary

CableCom, LLC is seeking an Operator Directional Drill Bores 1 to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure. You will determine bore paths, locate utilities, and operate drill equipment in field conditions.

This role requires a valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain, a high school diploma or GED, and a clean driving record. CableCom is an equal-opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Site setup, cleanup, and equipment maintenance.
• Work in all weather conditions.

What you’ll do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Operator Directional Drill Bores 1 is$29.00 - $32.00.
