Job summary

Sealed Air in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a entry-level Manufacturing/Line Operator to join a team on the mailer line. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM; Pay rate $18.00/hour.

You will set up and operate conversion equipment, monitor quality, and maintain a clean, safe work area. High school diploma and 3–6 months in manufacturing, must read a tape measure and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 to 6 months or more of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Requires attention to detail and being thorough in completing work tasks.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form and review work orders.
• Set up and operate conversion equipment or machinery and monitor operation.
• Load or unload material and position pieces for machine feeding.
• Ensure product quality and accuracy by inspecting work.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety procedures.
• Participate in team efforts to achieve department goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM. Must be flexible and willing to work varying shifts as needed.
Pay Rate: $18.00

Position Summary

* Work as part of a team having responsibility for to help with mailer line.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form. Review work orders or job samples to determine components, settings, and adjustments for machine setup and operational specifications.
• Set up and operate a variety of conversion equipment or machinery. Monitor machinery/equipment operation to detect problems. Adjust machines as necessary to synchronize speed of machine components. Clean and lubricate machines, conveyors, blades, saws or knives.
• Load or unload material or work pieces into machinery. Position, adjust and secure material or work pieces against stops or automatic feeding mechanisms, manually or using tools. Machine setup instructions should be posted near the machine, always ask questions to clarify instructions.
• Responsible for product quality and accuracy. Examine work to verify conformance to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Practice personal safety and follow all safety practices and procedures. Comply with all policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to management.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
• Pushing, pulling, lifting at least 40lbs.
