Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Middletown, NY is hiring for an onsite manufacturing role focused on coating operations. You will understand the operation and safety features of pre- and post-coating equipment for EBPVD and Plasma, perform in-process inspections, and support processing of hardware to be coated.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of relevant experience; manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fully understand the operation and safety features of all support equipment that is to be used at the pre and post-coating process steps for EBPVD and Plasma
• Perform in-process inspections of process hardware prior to and after coating operation
• Assist in all operational functions associated with processing the hardware to be coated
• Make all required process paperwork entries at the proper time and sequence
• Ensuring all the operations completed meet the standards provided for that operation. No operation will be completed without proper documentation and quality requirements understood
• Ability to perform necessary duties in EBPVD and/or Plasma
• Ability to lift up, push, pull, bend, squat, climb and twist hands
• Ability to work in a confined space
• Ability to follow instructions and multi-task
• Reliable, punctual, flexible and good attendance

Role Type

This role is: Onsite. Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is $22.00 per hour. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Safety and Testing

Pratt & Whitney Middletown, NY is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
