What You Will Do:

• Read and interpret work instructions
• Strong computer skills
• Learn to set up and operate a variety of production equipment and measuring devices.
• Examples may include milling/grinding machines, furnaces, peening machines, part wash machines, coating machines, airflow/water flow machines, calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.
• Learn to work from operation sheets, work instructions, part travelers, and oral instruction to set up equipment within the assigned business unit, involving a limited number of surfaces to be machined.
• Obtain operator certification to be able to accept/reject parts.
• Learn to maintain machines by performing required total preventative maintenance (TPM).
• Learn to work collaboratively with engineers, quality assurance, programmers and other production personnel or others to resolve machining problems and assist in part process development (if applicable).
• May be assigned to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives.
• Employees selected for this position are required to successfully complete the customized training program conducted at AB Tech.
• In addition, the employee will complete all required on-the-job training at Pratt & Whitney.
• Employees must be flexible with their shift schedule to complete required training.

Shift: Monday through Thursday, 2nd Shift, 4:15pm - 2:45am.
