Job summary

Carpenter Co. in Tupelo, MS is seeking a 1st Shift Operator A - Gluer Furniture MFG to safely operate a glue line and assemble foam, fiber, and components into finished products per daily schedule.

As an hourly Operator A-Gluer, you\'ll work with Managers, Supervisors, and plant staff in a fast-paced environment, follow work instructions, perform routine maintenance, and maintain steady output while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior experience as a Gluer in fiber and foam preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and call-in with little notice.
• Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Capability of lifting up to 10 lbs. repeatedly throughout the entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Receive and understand instructions from the glue line coordinator, Supervisor, or Management.
• Follow work instructions to ensure proper construction of products.
• Assemble using specified gluing procedures, components into product according to customer requirements.
• Clean gluing equipment and perform appropriate scheduled maintenance.
• Maintain steady work pace in a high-volume atmosphere.

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a1 st Shift Operator A - GluerFurniture MFG at our Tupelo/Verona, MSmanufacturing plant. This position is responsible for the safe operation of a specific piece of equipment used in the manufacture of components and/or finished products for internal and external customers as defined by a daily production schedule.

As an hourly Operator A- Gluer Furniture MFG, the successful candidate will be expected to assemble and adhere individual foam, fiber, and other subcomponents into fabricated products as well as communicate daily with multiple levels of Company personnel and most importantly with the Managers, Supervisors, and employees in the manufacturing plant.Operator A - Gluer works in a normal manufacturing environment with exposure to temperature changes.
