Performs the utility, auto catcher and palletizer tasks, and performs any team task on an as needed basis under the direction and authority of the Front-Line Leader (FLL).

Pay rate is $26.17 per hour + $2.00 shift differential

PRINCIPAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

UTILITY DUTIES:

1. Performs all quality checks/tests on time
2. Off loads conveyor of seconds and rewraps, stacks seconds and adds in rewraps
3. Assists in repairing all line breaks (heavy tails) and adjusts equipment for product
4. Pull all splices from the bundles
5. Visually inspects bundles and/or shingles, sets aside rejects, and notifies appropriate personnel
6. Participates in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant

PALLETIZER DUTIES:

1. Operates and adjusts palletizer and conveyors (including, but not limited to, start, stop, clearing of jams, etc.)
2. Helps perform preventative maintenance to palletizers (including, but not limited to, tighten bolts, clean conveyor rollers, etc.)
3. Visually inspects pallets and sets aside as needed
4. Transports pallets to the palletizer
5. Loads pallets into the palletizer

AUTOCATCHER DUTIES:

1. Helps clear all box jams
2. Assists auto catcher attendant in adjusting the machine

LIFT TRUCK OPERATOR DUTIES:

1. Transports all product from the palletizer to the proper storage area
2. Transports rewraps to the add in area

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Routinely lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance
• Work up to 12 hours in extreme hot/cold manufacturing environment
• Walk/stand on concrete floor as required during shift work, lasting 8-12 hours
• Routinely ascend and descend stairs and ladders
• Safeguard self with Personal protective Equipment (PPE)- steel-toed shoes, eye protection (glasses, goggles, and/or facemask) hearing protection, and long-sleeved shirt (with shirt tail tucked in) as necessary for task
• Use cleaning equipment or tools as necessary for housekeeping duties in accordance with all safety rules

Ability to work overtime as necessary. It is a requirement to be a U.S. citizen OR have valid proof of authorization to work in the United States.

COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES

• Log into computers and navigate Owens Corning's intranet to complete mandatory training, view wage statements, select benefit options, and update contact information
• Enters downtime/slow time data into the IM computer

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED equivalence
