Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Operator for the 3rd shift to support MOV disk production for Power Systems. You will perform multiple tasks, rotate through core and secondary jobs, and help ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Hours are 10 PM to 6 AM with benefits starting Day 1. Wage includes $20.74/hour base plus $1.50 shift differential, plus overtime and career progression opportunities.

• Strong team collaboration to meet daily production goals.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and PPE requirements; maintain 5S housekeeping.
• Operate MOV disk production processes per standard work.
• Be trained on core/secondary jobs and rotate stations as needed.
• Inspect components, identify and report quality issues.
• Communicate problems clearly to supervisor/manager.
• Safely operate forklift and move materials as required.
• Contribute to team goals and production metrics.

Maintains standards of quality, production, and safety; works as part of a team to ensure that daily goals are met. Maintains standards of quality, production, and safety; complies with all company policies and works as part of a team to ensure that daily goals are met.Job ResponsibilitiesSafety:Responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, complying with JSA’s, wearing proper PPE, complying with the production attire policy, and assuring that the work cell has safe equipment and no risk is placed on their coworkers or themselves.Any safety issue identified should be reported immediately to supervisor or manager.General cleaning of shop areas and personal 5S/industrial housekeeping responsibility.Production:Works under general and/or intermittent supervision to execute all processes, assemblies, tests, and inspections related to the production of MOV disks according to the OMS/standard work for each operation.Is fully trained on at least 2 of the 3 core jobs (including Presses, Glass Collar, and Finishing Line Operator).Is fully trained on at least 4 of the 6 secondary jobs (including Offline Grinder, Epoxy, Secondaries, NGD Sorter, Energy Tester and Ringing Wave Tester).Rotates between job stations within the department and assists elsewhere based on production needs.Maintains quality standards consistent with the Eaton’s Cooper Power Systems Quality Policy. Visually inspects components and products. Takes ownership of the recognition and communication of quality issues.Notifies the supervisor/manager of all problems with product or quality.Safely and effectively operates fork truck.Works in a team environment, accepting other duties as assigned, including flexing between work cells as needed.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institutionNo relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
