Eaton’s Power Systems Division in Olean, NY is hiring a Station Class Assembler (2nd Shift). You will perform a variety of tasks to produce station class arrestor components, uphold quality and safety standards, and work as part of a team to meet daily production goals.

Training starts on the first shift (4AM–2PM) before moving to the 12:00 PM–10:00 PM schedule; later shifts of 2PM–12AM may be used depending on demand.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the work location.
• Eaton does not sponsor immigration status for this position.
• Able to read/understand measurements (ruler, fractions).
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assemble station class arrestor components per OMS/standard work.
• Maintain quality and safety standards and document issues.
• Work with multiple operations and flex between cells as needed.
• Perform general housekeeping and 5S duties in the work area.

The hourly rate for this position is $18.91 + $1.50 shift differential per hour.CORE HOURS: T his role will not follow standard second shift hours. Team member will begin training on first shift (4AM - 2PM) and then transition to the 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM schedule. This position is based at our Olean, NY facility.The primary function of this position is to utilize knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform a variety of tasks in the production of the Power Systems station class arrestor product lines. Maintains standards of quality, production, and safety; complies with all company policies and works as part of a team to ensure that daily goals are met.Safety:Be responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, complying with JSA’s, wearing proper PPE, complying with the production attire policy, and assuring that the work cell has safe equipment and no risk is placed on their coworkers or themselves.Identify any safety issues and report immediately to supervisor or manager.Conduct general cleaning of shop areas and personal 5S/industrial housekeeping responsibility.Production:Work under general and/or intermittent supervision to execute all assemblies, processes, tests, and inspections related to the production of station class arrestor product lines according to the OMS/standard work for each operation.Be fully trained on all operations within the Station Class Department, including, stack blocks, sulphur cement, final assembly, pack, testing, etc.Utilize tools including, hoists, sulphur pouring equipment, various air and hand tools. Works within the department and assists elsewhere based on production needs.Maintain quality standards consistent with the Eaton’s Cooper Power Systems Quality Policy. Visually inspects components and products. Takes ownership of the recognition and communication of quality issues.Notify the supervisor/manager of all problems with product or quality.Work in a team environment, accepting other duties as assigned, including flexing between work cells as needed.Perform assigned miscellaneous duties within the scope of operations, which may not be specifically listed above.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:Must have a High School diploma or GED from an accredited institutionNo relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
