Job summary

Palmer Candy is seeking an Operator (1st shift) to run a confectionery production line in Sioux City, IA. You will oversee production, packaging, and quality checks while maintaining a clean, safe work area and accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Operate production line and oversee production and packaging of confectionary products.
• Ensure production and packaging meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain clean, sanitary and organized work environment, including allergen and changeover procedures.
• Prepare supplies, products and equipment for production and ensure equipment health and safety compliance.
• Perform basic equipment cleaning, minor maintenance and routine inspections of production equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts, lot numbers, and production records.
• Assist with production line operations and train Team Members as needed.
• Utilize REDZONE production software and support established OEE standards.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with Team Members across departments.
• Maintain regular attendance and be willing to work overtime as needed.

Operator (1st shift)

Full Time Regular Operatives Sioux City, IA, US

Palmer Candy is looking for a 2nd shiftOperator at our Bluff St facility.

1st shift will work Monday-Friday. Monday-Thursday hours are 5:00 am- 4:30 pm with Friday hours varying from 6 to 10-hour shifts. Saturday hours may be scheduled due to business needs.

Team Member’s will be notified by plant management if schedules were to change outside of the times listed above.

Position Summary

• Ensure Team Members produce and package high-quality products safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and specifications.
• Package products and perform routine quality, weight, percentage, and equipment checks to ensure product accuracy and safety.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment, including proper allergen and product changeover procedures.
• Prepare supplies, products, and equipment for production while ensuring equipment meets health and safety requirements.
• Perform basic equipment cleaning, minor maintenance, and routine inspections of metal detectors and other production equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts, lot numbers, date codes, and production records.
• Assist with production line operations and train Team Members as needed.
• Utilize REDZONE production software and support established OEE standards.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with Team Members across all departments and levels.
• Maintain professional conduct, regular and reliable attendance, and work overtime as needed to support production demands.
