Job summary

Central Wire Industries is seeking a Cable Tech. Operator for 1st Shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm. As a Cable Tech. Operator, you will operate machinery to ensure the production of quality products following specific work instructions.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and a dependable work ethic. The position offers competitive pay at $19 per hour and includes health, dental, and vision insurance options.

Cable Tech. Operator

1st Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm

$19/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery to produce a quality product according to specific “Work Instructions.”
• Read work orders/bill of materials to determine product specifications
• Responsible for quantity and quality to meet efficiency rates
• Use various types of equipment and machinery
• Maintain and adjust machinery during operation
• Report and communicate machinery issues to supervisor/maintenance
• Inspect products to ensure excellence and quality using measuring tools (tape measure/micrometer)
• Obtain all required approvals
• Store or place product in designated area
• Complete all necessary data to ensure production rates are met
• Report and/or enter production data into the company ERP system
• Record and document all downtime
• Ensure and observe all safety and housekeeping rules and guidelines, including daily safety inspections
• Participate in all assigned training, including health and safety sessions
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

• Ability to lift 20-50 lbs. frequently; up to 70 lbs. occasionally
• Use of hands and feet to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, controls, press buttons, levers and pedals
• Bending, twisting and reaching
• Repetitive movement
• Frequent walking
• Wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, ear protection, safety shoes, gloves and other equipment deemed necessary
• Work indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions
• Work in hot or cold temperatures
• Exposure to sounds and noise levels that can be distracting or uncomfortable
• Exposure to minor cuts or burns, contaminants, hazardous equipment
• Work with others in a group or team

Compensation:

• Base rate of $19.00 per hour

Shift: 8-hour shift

Work Location: In person, Company does not provide relocation assistance
