Job summary

Pregis is seeking a shift-based operator to monitor the densifier line, ensure product quality, and uphold safety standards. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating material handling equipment as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining supplies, clearing jams, and assisting with setup and troubleshooting. Overtime is common to meet production demands and ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to operate a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT).

Responsibilities

• Monitor densifier operation to ensure safety, quality and throughput.
• Support safety programs and PPE compliance.
• Maintain clean, safe work area throughout shift.
• Conduct product inspections to prevent non-conforming goods.
• Maintain materials to minimize downtime for the next shift.
• Meet or exceed production rates and customer requirements.
• Assist on other assets as needed and participate in safety trainings.

Summary of Job

Responsible for monitoring the operation of the densifier equipment and ensuring product adheres to company standard of safety, quality, and throughput.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Support, demonstrate and promote Pregis’ core values: integrity, collaboration, customer focus and innovation.
• Adheres to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, andregulations including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Housekeeping throughout assigned shift to ensure an orderly and safe environment.
• Physical and visual inspection of product is required to prevent non-conforming goods.
• Maintains appropriate level of production supplies/materials as required, to ensure next shift operators incur minimal downtime.
• Meets or exceeds production rates and meets all customer requirements.
• Sets up and adjusts unwinds.
• Neatly palletizes skids with finished product.
• Acquires knowledge/skills of Set-up to better assist and troubleshoot when needed.
• Attends meetings and completes safety trainings as required.
• Coordinates the removal of finished materials from the line.
• Required to assist on other assets as needed.
• Ability to operate and demonstrates proficienty in operating the NGR pelletizer.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Required to drive a Powered Industrial Truck

Position Type
