Job summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions in Sumter, SC is seeking an Operator 1, Molding to support injection molding production by operating equipment, inspecting parts, and handling packaging and labeling.

This is a contract assignment with potential to hire permanently based on attendance and performance; schedule is 7:00 PM–7:00 AM (3-2-2-3) including weekends. Eye exam required and safety footwear must be worn.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Attendance is mandatory during the first 90 days.
  • Overnight rotating schedule including weekends.
  • Eye exam required.
  • Wear steel toe or composite toe safety footwear.

Responsibilities

  • Stack boxes and totes, bag material, and print labels.
  • Operate injection molding presses and support downstream equipment with molded components.
  • Inspect components and monitor quality; request technical support as needed to maintain part quality.
  • Perform minor maintenance on assigned presses.
  • Operate multi-cavity injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to meet quality/output requirements.
  • Place surplus molded components into inventory as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of products produced, raw materials, and quality specifications.
  • Keep machinery/work areas clean and comply with GMP requirements.
  • Work with the team with limited supervision.
  • Follow work instructions, PM task lists, and equipment manuals.

Operator 1, Molding Compensation $16.50 per hour

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment 401(k) with company match is available after 1 year of service on eligibility dates

Operator 1, Molding Highlights

Contract assignment with potential to hire permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off (3-2-2-3) including weekends

Can start while background checks are pending (once all criminal background checks have been cleared)

Eye exam required

Steel toe or composite toe shoes required

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted (required)

OVERVIEW

You will support injection molding production by operating equipment, inspecting parts, and performing packaging/labeling tasks to help keep production running smoothly.

Operator 1, Molding Responsibilities
  • Stack boxes and totes, bag material, and print labels
  • Operate injection molding presses and support downstream equipment with molded components
  • Inspect components and monitor quality; request technical support as needed to maintain part quality
  • Perform minor maintenance activities on assigned presses
  • Operate multi-cavity injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to meet quality and output requirements
  • Place surplus molded components into inventory as needed

  • Follow relevant work instructions, forms, PM task lists, and equipment manuals
Operator 1, Molding Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Attendance is mandatory during the first 90 days
  • Comfortable working an overnight rotating schedule including weekends
  • Able to complete required eye exam and wear required safety footwear (steel/composite toe)
Operator 1, Molding Preferred Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience with injection molding presses (electric and/or hydraulic)
