Job summary

Vishay Marshall, MN is seeking a manufacturing technician to support wafer and component preparation in our industrial park. The shift runs Mon-Thu 7am-4:30pm and Fri 7am-11am, with a pay rate of $17/hour.

No formal education is required; applicants should have strong hand dexterity and reliability. You will perform basic machine setups, follow specifications, and coordinate with maintenance on issues while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• No formal education required, reliability is essential.
• Excellent hand dexterity and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to meet Vishay's attendance policy (low absenteeism).
• Ability to use a microscope for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare wafers, components, or semi-products following specs and quality standards.
• Process components per specifications and quality standards.
• Set up basic machinery and CNC/SPS programming if required.
• Coordinate with maintenance or external service providers on issues.
• Execute tasks as directed and report failures or issues.
• Adhere to all safety, EHS rules and work instructions.
• Maintain good relations with coworkers and supervisors.

Job Location:

Located in Marshall, MN north of SMSU and located in the industrial park.

What you will be doing:

• Preparation of wafers, components or semi-products and monitors related hand-stock.
• Processing components or semi-products/products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Performing basic machine-related setup and/or CNC / SPS-programming, if required.
• Cooperating with maintenance technicians and/or external service providers in repair issues.
• Executes task(s), as ordered or explained.
• Reports any failure or dysfunctionality to responsible employees or supervisor.
• Obeys all work rules and EHS regulations as valid for the work task(s) assigned.

What you will bring along:

• No Education or experience required, but highly beneficial
• Great hand dexterity
• Ability to meet Vishay's attendance policy (2% absenteeism rate or less annually)
• Ability to use a microscope for 9 hours daily
• Ability to maintain good relationships with co-workers and supervisors

Pay: $17/hr

Hours: Monday - Thursday 7am-4:30pm, Friday 7am-11am
