Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a Gluer Operator in the Finishing department. The role involves operating and maintaining machinery, setting up equipment, and ensuring quality and safety on an 8-hour shift.

Shifts available: 1st 7:00 am–3:30 pm and 2nd 3:30 pm–12:00 am, Monday–Friday. Training provided and path for career advancement within a large packaging company.

Qualifications

  • Basic math, reading and writing skills are required to perform this job.
  • Mechanical aptitude is required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain machinery to achieve high-quality production standards.
  • Set-up and adjust machinery for optimal performance.
  • Conduct general and preventative maintenance on all manufacturing machines.
  • Train production operators, feeders and packers in operation and maintenance of machinery.
  • Assist maintenance technicians in production equipment repairs.
  • Coordinate and assist in executing daily schedules to complete tasks on time.
  • Maintain accurate production records of materials used and spoiled.
  • Contribute to continuous operation of the production process.
  • Follow plant safety rules and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Monitor the quality of products to meet company standards.

Essential Production Duties And Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Machinery: Efficiently operate and maintain machinery to achieve high-quality production standards.
  • Set-Up and Adjust Machinery: Perform set-up and adjustments on all manufacturing machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct general and preventative maintenance on all manufacturing machines to minimize downtime.
  • Training: Train production operators, feeders, and packers in the proper operation and maintenance of manufacturing machinery.
  • Assist in Repairs: Support the maintenance technicians in production equipment repairs to ensure continuous operation.
  • Schedule Coordination: Coordinate and assist in executing daily schedules to complete all tasks on time.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production records of materials used and spoiled and assist manufacturing operators in tracking this data.
  • Continuous Operation: Participate in tasks necessary to ensure the continuous operation of the production process.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all plant safety rules and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Quality Monitoring: Monitor the quality of products being produced to ensure they meet company standards.
Experience & Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic math, reading and writing skills are required to perform this job. Mechanical aptitude is required.
