Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking candidates for Finishing with 1st or 2nd shift. The role involves loading cartons into the folder/gluer, training new associates, and ensuring smooth line operation.

You'll monitor quality, report issues, and maintain safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will be detail‑oriented, able to lift up to 40 lbs, and capable of effective communication across shifts while following packing instructions and SQF guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Load cartons into the feeder of the folder/gluer production machine.
  • Provide training for new production associates on the folder/gluer process.
  • Inform production Operators of any issues on the line.
  • Notify operators when running low on supplies.
  • Assist with clearing jams on production lines.
  • Review job tickets for proper instructions before starting a new job or shift.
  • Follow packing instructions as documented on the job ticket.
  • Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Provide backup support to other associates to maintain production flow.
  • Communicate instructions to other manufacturing employees and shifts.
  • Monitor case counts to ensure correct production quantities.
  • Participate in tasks necessary for continuous operation and safety.

Feeder Wage: Starting at $19.71/hour (2nd shift after training.)

1st shift – 7 am to 3:30 pm Monday - Friday
2nd shift – 3:30 pm to 12 am Monday – Friday

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Load Cartons: Load cartons into the feeder of the folder/gluer production machine.
  • Training: Provide training for new production associates on the folder/gluer process.
  • Problem Reporting: Inform production Operators of any issues occurring on the line.
  • Supply Management: Notify manufacturing Operators when running low on supplies.
  • Jam Clearing: Assist with clearing jam-ups on production machine-fed lines.
  • Job Ticket Consultation: Review job tickets for proper instructions before starting a new job or shift.
  • Packing Instructions: Follow packing instructions as documented on the job ticket.
  • Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Backup Support: Provide backup support to other associates on production machine-fed lines to maintain production flow.
  • Communication: Communicate instructions to other manufacturing employees and shifts.
  • Case Count Monitoring: Monitor case counts to ensure correct production quantities are packed.
  • Continuous Operation: Participate in tasks necessary for continuous operation of the process.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all manufacturing plant safety rules and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Quality Monitoring: Monitor the quality of products being produced to ensure they meet standards.
  • Compliance: Comply with the Consolidated Standards for Inspection – Food Contact Manufacturing Facilities following SQF Guidelines.
