Job summary

Freudenberg Performance Materials in Durham, NC, on-site, is seeking an Operator to support basic production tasks. The role involves roll wrapping, material staging, inspection, and data entry to ensure quality and efficiency.

Requirements include a high school diploma, attention to detail, and ability to work with others in a diverse team. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, with a starting pay of $22 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Familiarity with process control systems, quality checks, and inspection.
• Must be able to read a ruler and understand fractions, and demonstrate basic math skills.
• Must be able to work well with others and in a diverse workforce environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic production support activities including roll wrapping, material staging, and routine line assistance.
• Maintain awareness of applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements and individual responsibilities.
• Conduct rotational inspection duties and identify, classify, and record visible product defects in accordance with established quality procedures.
• Support cleaning activities including manual cleaning tasks and general housekeeping to maintain equipment and work area standards.
• Weigh, label, and document finished materials and enter required production data into systems accurately and timely.
• Handle materials and assist in ensuring proper material flow to and from the production line.
• Follow all established safety procedures including proper PPE use and participation in safety observation programs.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and quality expectations.
• Demonstrate a consistent focus on product quality and teamwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of basic production operations.
• Position starts at $22 hour
