Job summary

Freudenberg Performance Materials LP (USA) in Asheville, NC is seeking a Machine Operator to support on-site manufacturing operations. You will prepare machines, load materials, and monitor quality, while recording data and maintaining safety and cleanliness in the work area.

Responsibilities

• Operators prepare machines for operation, load machines with material, enter data into machine’s computer controls, inspect and monitor the machine and adjust different inputs, pressures and speeds to maintain quality.
• Operators monitor and record product and material types, temperatures, speeds, pressures, quantity counts and quality checking materials and products.
• Quality checks include preparing product samples, weighing samples, measuring widths and thickness and evaluating visual appearance of products.
• Machine Operators also perform housekeeping and work area organization duties and any required duties directed by supervisor or management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Technical Training, or equivalent degree.
• Operator must obtain and maintain a Fork Truck certification.
• High level of commitment and flexibility.
• Willingness and ability to work swing shifts.
• Willingness and resilience to meet the physical demands of the position.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and consistently changing environment.
