Job summary

Red Oak Recovery in Fletcher, NC is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to assist in transporting clients to medical appointments and other locations, and to support the Operations Team with projects. The role includes on-call rotations, promoting safety, and helping with groundskeeping and program activities.

You will mentor clients during internships, provide Life Skills and Ecotherapy classes, and collaborate with the programming department to ensure client safety and service quality.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of landscape equipment/tools, including tractor use and maintenance.
• Basic landscape experience.
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Be available for transportation of clients including airport pickups/drop-offs, doctor visits, and discharges.
• Assist Operations Team with projects and fill in as directed by supervisor.
• Assist with training of Recovery Guides to ensure client safety and program effectiveness.
• Work with the Ops Director to maintain and track adventure gear.
• Ensure safety and proper gear, maintain workspace.
• Be part of the on-call primary responder rotation.
• Plan, maintain, perform and oversee groundskeeping operations and services.
• Provide support to all levels of the organization to improve client care.
• Encourage safety by inspecting grounds, equipment and procedures.
• Maintain external areas and presentability; manage garden spaces.
• Maintain mulch beds, gravel paths, stairways, roads and trails on campus.
• Mentor and work with approved clients daily in internships and service projects.
• Provide Life Skills and Ecotherapy classes for clients as scheduled.
