Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking an Associate in the Operations Group/Transformation Services to deliver large, complex client engagements for private equity portfolio companies. You will work with PE leadership to identify, design, and implement solutions that improve EBITDA and cash flow across the organization.

The role offers exposure to cross‑functional teams, rapid career development, and opportunities to advance within a growing TS practice; travel may be required across the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2–4 years in industry or consulting implementing cost‑reduction programs.
• Depth in a particular industry vertical is a plus (e.g., industrial, business services, distribution, consumer products).

Responsibilities

• Structure a performance improvement plan and manage it through to completion.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost structure by changing leadership, staffing levels, and back‑office efficiency.
• Synthesize data, opinions, or facts to improve EBITDA and operating efficiency.
• Implement programs to reduce costs, including role changes and workforce reductions.
• Develop findings and make strategic recommendations.
• Hands‑on project experience in margin management, S&OP, sourcing and global supply chain, organizational structure and effectiveness, non‑labor cost efficiency, process improvement and KPIs, SG&A cost reduction, and cash management.
