Job summary

Cobb EMC is seeking an experienced Team Coordinator, Operations Skills Development to lead and support training across the Operations Department. You will develop, coordinate, and evaluate apprentice lineman programs, maintain curricula, and coordinate field training with lineman schools to build future talent.

The role focuses on safety, live-line work, and program management, including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting on trainee progress.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Eight years' electric utility line work experience, including 2 years as 1st Class Lineman.
• Specialized training in live-line work and distribution line construction.
• Knowledge of line feed system locations and system maps.
• Familiarity with GUFPA regulations and NPDES controls.
• Northwest Georgia Lineman Program completion within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead Operations Training and Development.
• Develop, implement, and manage the Apprentice Lineman Training Program.
• Identify training gaps and skill-development needs across Operations.
• Coordinate training for forestry, equipment operators, apprentice linemen, first-class linemen, and foremen.
• Manage the Northwest Georgia Lineman Program including materials, testing, and delivery.
• Maintain continuity of training at the yard and for new equipment operations.
• Document, analyze, and report trainee progress.
