Job summary

Cobb EMC is seeking a skilled Team Coordinator, Operations Skills Development to lead training initiatives for the Operations Department in Marietta, GA. You will develop, coordinate, and evaluate technical learning programs, align with lineman schools, and ensure crews are proficient and safe in linework operations.

The role requires several years in electric utility line work, strong training and leadership abilities, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and program delivery.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Northwest Georgia Lineman Program completion within 2 years of hire.
  • Specialized live-line and distribution line training.
  • Knowledge of GUFPA and NPDES regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Apprentice Lineman Training Program and related curricula.
  • Coordinate training for forestry, equipment operators, apprentice and foreman crews.
  • Establish and monitor training budgets and schedules, report progress.
  • Evaluate field skills and promote safe work practices.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to staff.
