Job summary

Agropur in Minnesota is seeking an Operations Trainer - Translator to support onboarding and ongoing communication for Spanish-speaking employees. You will translate materials and conversations, preserving intent while assisting in safety, quality, and human capital initiatives.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and Spanish fluency with translation experience. The role supports multiple shifts and a collaborative, diverse team within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Translate material or conversations into appropriate language.
• Ensure onboarding for new hires is positive.
• Support production to develop operational competency for new hires/roles.
• Track competency trainings of new hires.
• Preserve original meaning and intent in information sharing.
• Provide insights from conversations/translations.
• Draft SOPs or job content to improve work quality.
• Assist in two-week new hire check-ins and data capture.
• Assist in employee relations as translator when needed.
• Facilitate orientation for Spanish-speaking employees.
• Translate Quality and Safety practices to Spanish-speaking staff.
• Interview Spanish-speaking candidates and translate for recruiting.
• Translate for open enrollment, VIBE surveys, and programs.
• Learn and understand all plant roles.
• Regularly work multiple shifts; maintain flexible schedule.
• Support general Human Capital operations.
• Adhere to GMPs and safety protocols; report hazards.

Job Type:RegularThe Operations Trainer - Translator is a liaison to employees ensuring a quality onboarding experience and contributes to building a sense of employee community and belonging. This position translates spoken/written or video content to employee base for the purpose of keeping employees informed of critical information (operations, quality, safety, Human Capital - benefits, policies, etc.). The Operations Trainer - Translator works directly with Human Capital and the Operations team.

Your key responsibilities:

• Translate material(s) or conversation into appropriate language.
• Ensure onboarding experience is positive for new hires.
• Support production in developing operational competency for new hires/new roles.

• Translate Quality and Safety practices/methods to Spanish speaking employees.
• Interview Spanish speaking candidates and translating back to recruiting team.
• Translate for purposes of open enrollment, VIBE survey, company programs/initiatives.
• Learn and understand all plant roles.
• Ability to regularly work multiple shifts.
• Maintain flexible schedule (shifts) to address situations as they arise.
• Support general Human Capital operations.
• Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Safety Protocol
• Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
• Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
• Support safety policies, programs, and annual training.

The individual who will own this role:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
