The State of Georgia seeks a Training Developer to design and implement training programs for TRS operational staff. This role involves assessing training needs, developing courses, and mentoring junior trainers. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and extensive experience in training or financial-related fields, combined with excellent communication skills.
Under general supervision, this position performs complex course development for and training of TRS operational staff within the Division. Work involves assessing training needs; designing and developing training and development courses and materials; conducting classroom and on-the-job training; assisting in developing/revising department policies, procedures and processes; and providing comprehensive technical assistance and customer service to staff. Work involves designing and implementing training programs, independently, and mentoring junior trainers, or handling more complex training tasks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
• Bachelor degree from (4) year accredited college/university and/ or five years’ experience working within a financial related position, call center, or experience working with a defined benefit plan.
• Proven work experience in training, facilitating, or similar role.
• Experience conducting presentations, seminars and/or workshops for medium to large groups.
• Professional demeanor and excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency using learning management systems (LMS) and digital training tools.
• Ability to exercise good judgement and possess solid analytical skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
