Job summary

Chenega MIOS SBU, based at Redstone Arsenal, AL, is seeking an Operations Technician II to support DoD logistics and fielded systems. This role requires operating heavy equipment, hand tools, and vehicles while maintaining high standards of safety and readiness.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years of relevant experience, and an Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Interim Secret clearance is required on day one; must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance over the life of the contract.
• Experience with material handling equipment and heavy equipment; ability to operate/drive vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with proper equipment and lifting techniques.
• Must be physically fit and able to travel 20–30% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform extremely high-profile work for the Department of Defense.
• Function independently to resolve problems.
• Perform maintenance and other logistics functions on fielded systems.
• Prepare shipping materials.
• Operate test and diagnostic equipment.
• Operate handling equipment.
• Operate/drive various vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
