Job summary

Chenega MIOS is seeking an Operations Technician II to support DoD operations at Redstone Arsenal, AL. You will perform technical support engineering, oversee maintenance and fleet operations, and ensure readiness of fielded systems.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years of relevant experience, and an Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Travel and shift work may be required as part of a mission-focused team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience required.
• Interim Secret clearance on day one, with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-profile DoD-related work and provide technical support engineering.
• Assemble or construct standard equipment and service or repair simple instruments.
• Conduct tests using established methods and record data with attention to deviations.
• Extract engineering data from sources, process data with basic algebra and geometry, present data as required.
• Work independently to resolve problems and advise staff to meet objectives.
• Perform maintenance and logistics on fielded systems; maintain inventory and resupply activities.
• Plan and execute fleet operation and maintenance; prepare shipping materials.
• Operate test/diagnostic equipment and handling equipment.
• Drive various vehicles and support field operations as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
