Job summary

Air Products in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Operations Technician to safely run plant systems, monitor operations, and maintain logs at a complex facility with multiple units. The role supports six ASU plants, two liquefiers, and a nitrogen pipeline, ensuring reliability and safety.

You will perform preventive maintenance, calibrate instruments, read P&IDs, and follow EH&S standards to sustain efficiency and zero-incident culture. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of operations experience or a 2-year Process Technology degree.
• Military experience preferred; Electrical, instrumentation, or mechanical maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret piping and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs) preferred.
• Experience with process control systems (DCS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust plant process conditions using valves and operating equipment.
• Maintain an electronic logbook of operational activities.
• Identify and resolve process upsets using operating indicators and DCS trends.
• Calibrate and operate process and pipeline analyzers.
• Perform daily routines including water treatment, equipment inspections, and log readings.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and maintain training compliance.
• Issue safety work permits and perform lockout/tagout procedures.
• Load trailers and support product loading operations.
• Continuously inspect work areas for hazards and maintain clean, orderly spaces.
