Job summary

Air Products in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Operations Technician to safely operate plant systems and equipment, monitor daily production, and uphold EH&S standards to support a zero-incident culture.

You will perform routine maintenance, log activities, manage lockout/tagout, read P&IDs, and assist with water treatment, inspections, and start-up/shut-down procedures. 12-hour rotating shifts, nights and weekends, on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of operations experience.
• Military experience preferred.
• Electrical, instrumentation, or mechanical maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
• Experience with personal computers and/or DCS systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate plant processes using valves and equipment.
• Maintain an electronic logbook of operations.
• Identify and resolve process upsets using indicators and trends.
• Calibrate and operate process analyzers and pipelines.
• Perform daily routines including water treatment and inspections.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and safety work permits.
