Job summary

Yoh is seeking an Operations Technician in Gastonia, NC, onsite. The role offers rotating 4-on/4-off, 12-hour shifts (two day shifts 6:45am–7:00pm, followed by two nights 6:45pm–7:00am).

You will operate and support production equipment, troubleshoot issues, and participate in continuous improvement to keep lines running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of machine operator experience in manufacturing, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to stand for long periods

Qualifications

• 3+ years machine operator experience in manufacturing/production.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 lbs, work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery across multiple production areas (fiber feed, chemical prep, winder/rewinder, packaging, impregnation, control room).
• Monitor quality and key production metrics; respond to process upsets and elevate as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment/process issues to improve uptime and efficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance, adjustments, housekeeping/5S, and TPM/Lean activities.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and plant policies; maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Work collaboratively with the team and contribute improvement ideas.

• Basic computer skills; KPI/process improvement experience a plus.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and meet eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Associate degree in a technical field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Estimated Min Rate: $32832.80
