Job summary

Pilot is building a first-of-its-kind hybrid software/service to tackle the back office for founders and business owners. This role sits at the center of planning, allocation, forecasting, and billing, collaborating with senior leadership.

It’s a hybrid in-office position based in San Francisco or Nashville. We seek 3–5 years of experience in analytics/finance, expert Excel/Sheets, SQL, and Looker, with a track record building scalable systems and processes.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in business operations, analytics, or finance, ideally in a start-up or technology-forward environment, with a track record of building and running a system.
• Experience owning forecasting, billing, or resource-planning is a strong plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to translate data-heavy work into clear recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Work Orchestration: Own systems that plan and allocate work across the organization and build models that route work efficiently as volume changes.
• KPI Reporting: Build and maintain real-time leadership dashboards and catch anomalies early.
• Resource Forecasting: Develop forecasting models for staffing and capacity against demand.
• Billing Operations: Ensure billing sheet accuracy and scalable processes including QA and reconciliation.
• Automation & AI Adoption: Build automation and AI-enhanced solutions using Excel/Sheets scripting, SQL, and related tools.
• Process Optimization: Drive end-to-end improvements across processes and systems owned by this role.
