Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is seeking an Operations Support Specialist at either level 1 or level 2 to support plutonium tooling design operations and related workflows.

The role involves coordinating with multiple teams to ensure efficient, accurate delivery of outputs, maintaining documentation, and supporting administrative tasks within a high-security laboratory environment. A Q clearance is required for the position.

Qualifications

• Entry-level knowledge of operation scope, processes and requirements for the role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills.
• Basic knowledge of Laboratory policies and requirements.
• Ability to follow and inform improvements in procedures and processes.
• Ability to work with team-members, other organizations, and customers to solve problems.
• Knowledge of Laboratory policies, DOE orders, and regulations.
• May require Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct support of operations and workflows related to plutonium tooling design.
• Maintains documentation, records, budgeting and inventory tracking.
• Coordinates with team-members and supervisors to meet deliverables and priorities.
• Assists in planning to manage processes, scope, quality and risk.
• Assists with administrative tasks including procurements, SharePoint, and office support.
• Provides issues management support for moderately complex scope.
