Job summary

Maersk Ground Freight in Moreno Valley, CA, is seeking an Operations Support to manage freight movements across modes per customer requests and to deliver high-level operation and customer service. The role supports the station KPI's and coordinates with carriers and customers for timely execution.

This position requires rotating shifts with weekend work: 5am–1:30pm or 12:00pm–8:30pm, and a focus on reliable communication, problem solving, and process improvement within a busy logistics

Qualifications

• Ability to multitask with precise attention to detail.
• Work in demanding, high-volume environment with emails and calls.
• Tech-savvy and able to use logistics software.

Responsibilities

• Tracking and tracing outbound shipments
• Contracting new carriers as needed and assigning carriers and providing load tenders
• Communicating freight status and any problems to other stations and customers, and updating the system
• Provide customer service
• Quoting, costing and invoicing of international shipments, air, ocean and ground
• Domestic air and ground routing (including Canada)
• Contract new carriers
• Find and develop new logistics/freight opportunities and design carrier solutions for Pilot offices and external customers

Weekends required. Sundays and Mondays off.

Rotating shifts. Must be available for the following shifts:

JOBSUMMARY:

Pay Range:

$22-$23 per hour

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.
