Job summary

Heritage Community Credit Union in Sacramento, CA is seeking a full-time Exempt Operations Support Manager to lead the Operations Support team. The role focuses on card programs, fraud mitigation, compliance, and risk management, with responsibility for day-to-day operations across card services, deposits, lending, and e-services.

The successful candidate will bring 3–5+ years in financial operations, strong leadership, and a proven ability to drive process improvements while ensuring internal

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in credit union or financial institution operations.
• Experience supervising staff, including compliance or risk personnel.
• Strong knowledge of card network rules, fraud tools, dispute management, operational risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret and apply federal and state regulations (Reg E, Reg Z, Reg CC, UCC, OFAC, and general operational compliance requirements).
• May be required to obtain and maintain NMLS designation.
• May serve as a Notary Public.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High level of organization, systems thinking, and follow-through
• Strong leadership and team development skillset
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving ability
• Strong communication and cross-department collaboration
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and technical expertise to the Operations Support team with an enhanced focus on card programs, fraud mitigation, operational quality, compliance, and operational risk.
• Manage day-to-day operational support for card services, branch operations, deposit products, lending, e-services, compliance, and fraud/dispute processes.
• Lead departmental projects and develop the operations team members including the Compliance & Risk Officer to support the organization’s mission and growth.

OPERATIONS SUPPORT MANAGER

Heritage Community Credit Union is seeking a Full Time Exempt Operations Support Manager who is a highly motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic and service individual to join the HCCU Crew. The Operations Support Manager provides leadership, direction, and technical expertise to the Operations Support team with an enhanced focus on credit and debit card program management, fraud mitigation, operational quality, compliance, and operational risk. This role manages day-to-day operational support for card services, branch operations, deposit products, lending, e-services, compliance, and fraud/dispute processes. The Manager ensures strong internal controls, leads departmental projects, and develops the operations team members including the Compliance & Risk Officer to support HCCU’s mission and growth.

This position is located in the Sacramento CA area and follows a hybrid work arrangement - a mix of REQUIRED on-site work and REQUIRED remote work.

OPERATIONS SUPPORT MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3–5+ years of experience in credit union or financial institution operations, with at least 2 years in card programs, fraud, or compliance/risk management preferred.
