Company Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis Are you passionate about mentoring and managing a team? Are you interested in an opportunity to partner with business areas and support high priority objectives and initiatives? The Supervision, Regulation and Credit (SRC) Division within the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is looking for an Operations Support Manager to lead our team of administrative professionals that support multiple business lines within the SRC Division. In this role, reporting to an assistant vice president, you'll be responsible for managing the Business Technology Services team and have administrative responsibility for members of the Stress Testing Operations team based in Minneapolis. Each team has five staff comprised of business analysts and/or project managers. In addition to general management responsibilities over the two teams, you'll serve as the division's business solutions lead to deliver continuous improvement and innovation across all business lines, including strategic efforts to automate workflows and implement practical AI tools, when appropriate. To be successful in this role, you'll need a proven ability to think and act strategically while interacting with a diverse group of leaders, managers, and professionals. You must meet critical deadlines, manage ambiguity, work across business units, and deal with difficult situations as routine. The ability to conduct yourself in a manner that aligns with the Bank values of service, integrity, inclusion, initiative, accountability, and objectivity is paramount.

Essential Functions

Directs and coordinates the division's technology-driven activities related to analytics, operations, application support, and automation, ensuring optimal day-to-day and long-term operational objectives are met.

The position also works with various stakeholders locally and across the system.

Manages a team of business analysts to support SRC's operations, including information security, records management, onboarding, and application portfolio management.

The position focuses on identifying process improvements and business trends to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.

Provides administrative leadership to a group of indirect reports who are dedicated to the operations team of the Stress Testing National Program.

Harness genuine personal interest in AI to chart a practical path of AI implementation to extend and scale the reach of SRC's teams.

Supports staff with strategic planning to achieve business objectives.

Includes overseeing the development and maintenance of strategic plans and tools.

Acts as project leader and/or facilitates team efforts on highly complex System and local projects.

Communicates and collaborates across System resources and department functions to resolve complex business and/or technical issues.

Provides high level expertise on project and program management, product management, business, financial and technological issues.

Leads compliance with System and local policies, coordinates work assignments and implementation with efficient use of department and System resources, leads change and process improvement efforts.

Develops, motivates, and evaluates performance of staff, which includes managing staff to identify developmental assignments and training opportunities, working with individuals on their career goals, delegating responsibilities, providing timely feedback and evaluating performance on any of the preceding duties.

Plays a key role in the full cycle of employment matters, including but not limited to those involving hiring, retention and performance optimization, salary recommendations, and decisions related to the termination of employment, as well as the documentation of these matters.

Able to travel to periodic System meetings and/or conferences.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related fields, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Graduate degree in related field preferred.
  • Eight or more years of related professional experience with a progression of increasing responsibility, including staff supervision skills and management experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, leadership skills, and advanced proficiency using standard business applications and software.
  • Strong ability to conceptualize, plan, develop, and coordinate large scale, complex, projects, and manage multiple operations.
  • Proven ability to lead people to accomplish results.
  • Motivates, develops, and leads a diverse team through collaboration and consensus to reinforce a culture of service and accountability.

The full salary range is $114,000-$142,552-$171,100. The expected starting salary range is $120,000-$150,000. Salary offer will be based on qualifications/experience of the candidate, alignment with market data, the needs of the position, our total compensation package, and internal equity.

This position requires access to confidential supervisory information and/or FOMC information, which is limited to "Protected Individuals" as defined in the U.S. federal immigration law. Protected Individuals include, but are not limited to, U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and U.S. permanent residents who either are not yet eligible to apply for naturalization or who have applied for naturalization within the requisite timeframe. Candidates who are not U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents may be eligible for the information access required for this position and sponsorship for a work visa, and subsequently for permanent residence, if they sign a declaration of intent to become a U.S. citizen and meet other eligibility requirements. In addition, all candidates must undergo applicable background checks and comply with all applicable information handling rules, and all non-U.S. citizens must sign a declaration of intent to become a U.S. citizen and pursue a path to citizenship.
