SABG is seeking an Operations Support Analyst Advanced – Army Cell to support Warfighter Operational Integration with the Missile Defense Agency, located at Fort Belvoir, VA. Requires TS/SCI eligibility and extensive DoD/coordinating experience.

The candidate will lead strategic communications with Army stakeholders, prepare executive briefs, and assist with senior leader forums and boards within the MDA ecosystem. Strong missile defense domain knowledge is highly preferred.

Brief Description

SABG is hiring an Operations Support Analyst Advanced to support Warfighter Operational Integration work with the Missile Defense Agency.

JOB TITLE

Operations Support Analyst Advanced – Army Cell

CLEARANCE

LOCATION

Ft. Belvoir, VA

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ideal candidates will have experience in the management and program analysis field relating to: military operational concepts/capabilities; integration and fielding of complex weapon systems; conducting strategic high-level coordination activities; deliberate planning; test support; problem solving and working independently. Specific duties include:

  • Lead and synchronize high-level coordination and strategic communication with Army stakeholders, including the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA(ALT)), U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC), Program Executive Offices (PEO Fires / PEO MS), and the Army G-3/5/7 Fires Directorate (DAMO-Fires).
  • Research, formulate, and deliver succinct, executive-level talking points, point papers, executive summaries, and PowerPoint presentations to prepare the MDA Director and senior executives for engagements with HQDA senior leaders, the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, and Congress.
  • Support the Warfighter Integration Directorate (MDA/DW) in its executive secretariat role for Senior Leader Forums, Army-MDA Board of Directors (BoD) meetings, and Warfighter Integration Working Groups.
  • Apply operational, technical, and doctrinal understanding of HIMAD (e.g., Patriot, THAAD) and SHORAD (e.g., M-SHORAD, IFPC) systems, along with Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) architectures, to evaluate operational requirements and interoperability gaps.
  • Conduct comprehensive mission analysis on complex weapon system integration, testing, and fielding issues. Formulate viable, data-driven COAs and strategic recommendations for executive leadership decision-making.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Has specialized relevant knowledge and works as a member of the team and assists with solving complex problems. Advanced level working knowledge, skills, and abilities using Microsoft Office. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

Education And Experience
  • Master’s degree or higher (Bachelors degree may be substituted with an additional 5 years experience)
  • 10 years experience in coordinating with Combatant Command, Service Headquarters, Joint Staff, or DoD Agency (MDA, DITRA, DARPA, etc.)
  • 6 years experience must be in the missile defense industry
Computer Skills

Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment. Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on data.
