Job summary

The Simplot Company in the United States seeks a warehouse team member to manage loading, inventory, and record keeping with forklift operation and maintenance tasks across fertilizer and chemical products.

You will unload goods, assist with blending and loading, and support field operations. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required; prior warehouse experience is preferred.

Summary

Under general direction, this role performs a variety of job responsibilities which primarily include warehouse inventory, loading products, and record keeping. At times the employee will be required to drive a fork lift, tend to equipment/maintenance work, and operate the fertilizer blending systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers.
• Operating equipment to blend fertilizer.
• Monitoring product application by calculating amounts, calibrating equipment, controlling application rates, and cleaning and storing equipment after application process.
• Receiving and unloading product and performing warehouse inventory and storage functions.
• May assist with recordkeeping related to warehouse/inventory responsibilities.
• Performs varied responsibilities such as: equipment and plant maintenance including welding, pump and engine overhauls, painting, and general housekeeping responsibilities.
• Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, providing back-up when needed, etc.
• Assist in loading/mixing/applying pesticides, gaining understanding of the importance of including proper adjuvants, mixing order, temperature, other field/weather conditions potentially influencing application.

Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• Valid driver’s license
• One plus years related experience.
• Knowledge of basic farm equipment and operation.
• Ability to do a variety of tasks in succession, i.e., blending products together, loading a truck, and driving the truck to a farm.
