Job summary

University Book Store is seeking a morning Operations Assistant in Seattle to maintain the look and cleanliness of our flagship store. The role is part-time, 15 hours per week, with a set early-morning schedule from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Monday through Friday.

You will handle exterior cleaning tasks such as pressure washing, sweeping, and window washing, and assist with interior cleaning. The job requires reliability, independence, and the ability to work with a team when needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Early morning availability required.

Part-Time Operations Support

University Book Store is looking for a morning Operations Assistant who will be responsible for maintaining the look & cleanliness of our flagship store on the Ave. with daily cleanup around the outside of our store, and general interior cleaning. This is a part-time, hourly, year-round position with a set schedule of 15 hours per week.

As an Operations Assistant, your typical day might include the following:

• Maintain cleanliness of exterior building
• Pressure washing
• Sweeping and mopping
• Window washing
• Other duties as assigned

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this employee will be outside and exposed to all weather conditions. This position regularly uses standard equipment for exterior cleaning such as garden hoses, brooms, cleaning products, and paint. This is a very active position with the employee regularly walking, bending, kneeling, stooping & standing, and must be able to lift and move items that weigh up to 70lbs.

Hours:
Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Wages & Benefits:
The wage for this position is $21.75/hour, and benefits include: generous merchandise discount; half-priced monthly ORCA pass; holiday pay & sick pay; 401(k) participation.
