Job summary

Altec Industries, Inc. in Daleville, VA, is seeking an Operations Supply Chain Co-op for an Jan start through summer 2027. The role provides hands-on, mentored experience in a structured setting at the Roanoke Facility.

You will support Lean initiatives, cost-saving activities, inventory management, and procurement for assembly lines, gaining exposure to engineering, production, and Kaizen processes in a real-world environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Preferred fields: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Finance, Business Management.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day project-based responsibilities.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen activities.
• Procurement of components for assembly lines and expediting parts.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure parts are on-hand.

Altec is currently seeking an Operations Supply Chain Co-op to join our team starting in the early to mid-January time frame and through the summer of 2027. This position will be located at the Altec Roanoke Facility that is located in Daleville, VA.

Responsibilities:

The co-op will assist with day-to-day project-based responsibilities, including:

• Involvement with engineering and production associates with cost savings activities
• Participation in Lean Manufacturing initiatives and Kaizen activities
• Support of production Fast Response initiatives
• Performing obsolete part reviews
• Engaging in requoting and resourcing efforts
• Managing and analyzing expected receipt reportsAssisting in part set-up issue resolution
• Maintaining accurate material pricing
• Procurement of components for the assembly lines and expedition of parts
• Management of inventory levels and completion of projects to ensure components are on-hand
• Any additional special projects as needed

These activities will provide meaningful, hands-on experience in a structured, mentored setting.

Qualifications:

Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree is required.

Pay Transparency

Pay range: $21.85 - $25 per hour. We are committed to fair and competitive pay for all associates based on their experience, education, and qualifications.

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
