Job summary

Altec in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Engineering Co-Op to gain hands-on experience across Manufacturing, Quality, and Design. You’ll participate in Rapid Continuous Improvement initiatives, collaborate with engineers and technicians, and contribute to real-world projects that support production teams.

This paid internship offers rotating exposure to our custom manufacturing environment and mentorship from seasoned professionals.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university and in good academic standing.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Completed a minimum of 24 credit hours or hold sophomore standing.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Job Description

As an Engineering Co-Op, you’ll support all functional areas of our Engineering Team at our Birmingham campus, with a primary focus on Rapid Continuous Improvement (RCI). You’ll rotate through all three Engineering Departments—Manufacturing, Quality, and Design—gaining hands-on experience and making a real impact on the products we build.
