Givens is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our warehouse team in Chesapeake, VA. You will oversee daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse activities while leading a team and maintaining safety and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has leadership experience, problem-solving skills, and is comfortable on the warehouse floor and with WMS and RF scanners. This is a full-time role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse or distribution experience.
• Experience leading or supervising warehouse employees.
• Understanding of shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse processes.
• Experience with WMS and RF scanners preferred.
• Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work on the warehouse floor.

Job Description

Givens is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our warehouse team in Chesapeake, VA. We are looking for a hands‑on leader who understands warehouse operations, can manage daily priorities, and knows how to keep a team productive while maintaining safety and accuracy.

This position is responsible for overseeing daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse activities. The Operations Supervisor will work closely with management and warehouse associates to ensure customer orders are handled accurately, deadlines are met, and operations run efficiently.

The ideal candidate has previous warehouse leadership experience, strong problem‑solving skills, and is comfortable working both on the warehouse floor and with warehouse management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory, and order processing.
• Lead, direct, and support warehouse associates to meet daily productivity and accuracy goals.
• Coordinate staffing and daily work assignments based on operational needs.
• Monitor workflow and make adjustments to keep operations running efficiently.
• Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory, review activity, and resolve operational issues.
• Ensure shipping and receiving documentation is completed accurately, including bills of lading, receiving paperwork, and driver logs.
• Assist with training, coaching, and developing warehouse employees.
• Identify operational problems and work with management to implement solutions.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure warehouse procedures are followed.
• Communicate with management, employees, and customers regarding daily operations.
• Ensure employees follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Assist with forklift operations and other warehouse duties when needed.
• Open or close the warehouse facility as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse or distribution experience.
• Previous experience leading or supervising employees in a warehouse environment.
• Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse processes.
• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and hold team members accountable.
• Willingness to work on the warehouse floor and assist with daily operations as needed.
