Job summary

CHRISTENSEN INC is seeking an Assistant Operations Supervisor/Manager in Pasco, WA. The role supports plant operations, including safety, logistics (drivers/dispatch), maintenance, compliance, and training, reporting to the Plant Manager.

Requires CDL knowledge, transport safety experience, and strong leadership. The position coordinates with drivers, warehouse staff, dispatch, operations support, sales, and vendors to boost productivity and profitability in the Commercial Division.

Qualifications

• Leadership and coaching experience in a supervisory role.
• Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations related to transporting hazardous materials.
• Experience with safety systems and enforcing safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist Plant Manager with day-to-day operation of the facility.
• Review driver schedules for efficiency and coverage.
• Train drivers on procedures and best practices.
• Monitor operating expenses and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Support safety, compliance, and housekeeping programs.
