Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Supervisor for Medical Device Assembly and Packaging to lead startup activities, train staff, and oversee daily operations on the manufacturing floor. You will guide the team to meet production goals while maintaining safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

As a senior leader, you will foster an inclusive culture, develop technical expertise among operators, and drive continuous improvement across lines with line leaders and support teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office) are required.
• Previous experience in operations or directly supporting a manufacturing operation (Pharma, Food, Clean-room, or other applicable).
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple requests.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to train and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• During the project phase, support startup activities to bring the Device Assembly and Packaging area into service.
• Train on the use of the equipment and develop technical proficiency.
• Lead operational readiness activities.
• Ensure lines are adequately staffed with trained & qualified employees.
• Strict adherence to safety and quality rules and procedures is expected.
• Direct line supervision for line leaders and operators.
• Develop area documentation (procedures, work instructions, job aides, etc.) with team to support start-up, training, and operation.
• Originate and investigate deviations, operational quality issues, and support determination of root cause.
• Manage several direct reports across multiple manufacturing lines on responsible shift.
• Coach, develop, and evaluate operators.
• Communicate cross functionally with support team if there are quality, equipment, or operational concerns.
