Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Savannah, GA. You will lead a shift within the service center, ensuring safety, efficiency, and top-tier service.

You will manage a dedicated team, supervise loading/unloading, and drive continuous improvement in daily operations. Responsibilities include training staff, coordinating schedules, and monitoring performance metrics while upholding OD standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• 2 years of experience with operations, preferably in transportation.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of AS400 and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety daily and train on safety processes.
• Oversee safe planning, loading and unloading of freight.
• Teach and enforce safe lifting practices and housekeeping.
• Supervise pickups/deliveries and ensure proper utilization of staff and equipment.
• Coordinate with Service Center management to meet daily/weekly/monthly objectives.
• Provide guidance for operational improvements within shift and facility.
