Job summary

Chrysalis is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the Works program in Downtown Los Angeles. The role combines hands-on supervision of street-maintenance crews with programmatic duties to improve job readiness among Chrysalis clients.

You will supervise multiple contracts, train staff on safety and procedures, and ensure quality work while maintaining high customer service standards. A valid California driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead street-maintenance crews and coordinate multiple contracts.
• Strong communication skills and a proven work history.
• Willingness to mentor Chrysalis CE workers in transitional programs.
• Valid Class C California driver's license and eligibility for Chrysalis Enterprises insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for long periods.
• Excellent organization and time-management abilities.
• Ability to balance contract delivery with office responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Chrysalis Works workers at various contracts daily to ensure work is performed professionally and on time.
• Provide shift coverage at customer sites for project managers, supervisors, and pressure washers across Works businesses.
• Ensure customer needs are met according to contractual obligations with high service standards.
• Conduct briefings and trainings on duties, equipment use, safety, and related topics.
• Report incidents promptly and document them in writing.
• Enforce safety procedures for contracts, vehicles, equipment, and tools.
• Collaborate with Works office staff on day-to-day operations.
• Perform site visits/inspections to verify work quality and compliance.
• Carry out street-maintenance tasks such as graffiti/tip removal, litter management, sweeping, and basic landscaping.
• Run errands to acquire supplies as needed.
• Complete paperwork accurately and timely, including inspections and feedback forms.
• Tackle special projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
